TabTrade - What Traders Should Know

Tab Trade - What It Is

TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.

FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be coming. That should round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get holds up. Few brokers with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

This is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You deposit, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you deposit.
